Speed Limit on A1123

The following and attached have been received from Cambs County Council.  They seem to be confirming the speed limits on the A1123 through the Parish as there are no changes.

However, the Parish Council is considering asking them to extend the 40mph limit west from the cemetery to past the junction with St Ives Road, Houghton with regard to safety issues with the cemetery and the potential Guided Bus Stop


'The Cambridgeshire County Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 84(1) and 84(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act the effect of which will be

 

The draft Order, together with a map showing the road and length of road concerned and a statement of the Council's reasons for proposing to make the Order are attached.
