Building in 'the Gap' between Houghton & St Ives

Between Houghton Grange, where development has already taken place, and St Ives there is a field - this is known as the GAP or BBSRC field and provides separation between our Parish and St. Ives.

A formal outline planning application has now been submitted and can be viewed on the District Council public access planning site - 23/00627/OUT | Outline planning permission with all matters reserved for the construction of up to 120 homes (Use Class C3) with associated public open space, landscaping, play areas, surface water attenuation, roads, car parking, pedestrian and cycle routes, utility infrastructure and associated works | Land Between Houghton Grange And The How Houghton Road Houghton (huntingdonshire.gov.uk).

The Parish Council has been given until the end of June to respond to the application and will discuss this at a Parish Council meeting that will be open to the public.  Public response is important, so if you have any comments about the proposals, please let HDC (and the Parish Council) know.  Comments can be made to HDC via the link above or by email to  developmentcontrol@huntingdonshire.gov.uk or in writing to Development Control, FAO Laura Fisher, HDC, Pathfinder House, St Mary's Street, Huntingdon PE29 3TN
